Western Montana Equine Rescue & Rehabilitation is a small, grass roots, 100% volunteer organization. WMERR strives to put every dollar raised towards the care of equines and assistance for equine owners experiencing a crises. 

Currently WMERR is operating from our founder, Shannon Alexander's personal property. No longer able to take in another animal, the organization is seeking larger acreage and foster homes. Personal trucks and trailers are used for hauling.  If you have a serviceable trailer or truck no longer in use, WMERR can use it! It is a tax deductible donation.

Donated feed and supplies cuts down on WMERR out of pocket costs, allowing WMERR to fund raise in support of our out reach programs and disaster relief fund. The Roaring Lion Fire August 2016 burned 16 homes, numerous out buildings and barns, displacing over 30 equines. WMERR hauled equines out of the area, as well as housed and fed some of them. WMERR allocated free hay to people who lost pasture and hay from fire damage.
